No video Resume status displayed in media list on Sharp Aquos 52LE840X TV Set
No video Resume status displayed in media list on Sharp Aquos 52LE840X TV Set
No video Resume status displayed in media list on Sharp Aquos 52LE840X TV Set
UMS Version: 13.9.0
On my old Sony Bravia TV sets (from 2011) i get a 'Resume' status displayed directly underneath the video
SETTINGS:
TAB: General Settings
Media sever engine: Default
Enabled renderers (needs server restart): Select renderers (All of them are selected in the list of make/models)
Default renderer when automatic detection fails: Sharp Aquos
TAB: Navigation settings
Enable video resuming: Ticked ON
Is my not seeing any 'Resumed' videos a limitation of the make/model of TV set and/or it software/firmware ?

Re: No video Resume status displayed in media list on Sharp Aquos 52LE840X TV Set
Resume in UMS is not something I use so not sure how it is meant to work, but it should be the same across devices.
IIRC it creates a virtual file from the last played position but for this to work it will force transcoding so only really needed for old devices that had no resume like the PS3.
Most newer devices remember the last played position so the resume you had before may have been the TV doing this.
In V14 played status is tracked for each user (or renderer) so it may not show the same status on a new TV depending on how the user accounts are set up.
I think a bit of this access control code got added to a pre-V14 version but not sure so this could be to blame too.
It should still be tracking the status of videos played on that TV.
