WDTV play and mkv/DTS files

I can get UMS to stream the mkv file with DTS (but no sound as the WDTV play doesn't support DTS), so that is working as expected. But, when I try any of the same files in the Transcode folder (either mpencoder, tsmux, etc), nothing plays, not even the video.

All I want to do is have the mkv file play while the DTS is downconverted to 2 channel audio for the bedroom tv.

Should the WDTV live renderer work for the WDTV Play?

thanks

i have this issue as well. however, get sound when watching material from transcode folder. Between the word "Duration" and length of movie or video is an ex'd out speaker as if my tv were on mute, when in fact it isn't. Not only that but for some of the videos, when accessing the "Transcode" folder vids, they are one minute samples!! :?: :?: :?: :!: Crazy. i will attach the log file in next post, just had to get this off my chest.

i believe i may have worked around this issue:
unchecked "Remux videos with..." option in general settings for MEncoder
unchecked "A/V sync alternative..." opt in gen settings for ME
unchecked "Encoded audio passthrough..." in gen settings / common transcode settings audio settings.
checked both "Keep AC-3 and DTS tracks"
at least the movies is playing in the first tier - without having to access transcode folder, and i'm getting audio.
