Hi!

I have UMS installed on an linux ubuntu machine, anyone knows how can I update the UMS version to the latest, keeping the settings unchanged?
Having the "Check automatically for updates" checked, doesn't do nothing.

All of your settings are in the folder:
/username/.config/UMS/

The actual program will be somewhere like:
/opt/ums/

I am not sure about ubuntu (I use Gentoo headless), but I just untar the new version in the /opt/ums/ folder (or wherever folder yours is installed in) and all your settings will be kept.

You could copy the folder /username/.config/UMS/ to somewhere else as a backup if you wanted to be doubly sure.
