bandwith limit exceeded
hi,
i've been trying for a few days to figure out, why the bandwith limit is exceeded everytime I stream a file to my ps3.
I am streaming over wifi with a maximal bandwith of about 25 mbps. Unfortunately, my files (720p-mkv's) keep stuttering at high-action-scenes. i tried these things:
- set almost any quality parameters (even keyint=25:vqmax=8:vqmin=3)
- set bandwidth limit to 20 mbps (still peaks of 30-50 mbps)
- change encoder (mencoder to ffmpeg)
- increase buffer to 400 MB
processor i5-3570 @ 3.40-3.80 GHz
os Win7 64bit
RAM 8 GB
even with bandwidth limit set to 10 mbps it keeps peaking.
Anyone a clue, what else I could do?

Re: bandwith limit exceeded
It's possible that the files are being muxed instead of transcoded. Try disabling the "remux videos with tsmuxer" option
Re: bandwith limit exceeded
Thanks. That did the trick!
Re: bandwith limit exceeded
Great, thanks for replying. Which files were the ones giving problems? I wouldn't have thought that normal 720p mkv files (ones from popular torrents for example) would have bitrates high enough for that
