Stutter on PS3 after seeking through video

So whatever the new update did made anime with subtitles on .mkv work on my PS3 but the new problem I'm having now is when I try to seek through a video and play it from there. It just stutters and I have no idea why. According to UMS, the maximum bitrate while the stutter occurs is 24 Mb/s. If I pause the video though for a few seconds, it'll play fine but then once the PS3 reads around 60 or so Mbps, that's when the stutter occurs.
