I successfully setup UMS, I 'm able to view video remotely with external subtitles perfectly via PS3, SmartTV, and PC. Unfortunately, I'm not able to see subtitles on android device while playing video via DLNA/UPnP apps. I need some "help on viewing external subtitles on android device.~" Please refer to the following apps/tools I used:

OS : Win8.1
UMS version: 3.5.0

Client platform: Android
Sasmsung Galaxy S3
Version: 4.3
DLNA/UPnP Apps used: MediaHouse UPNP/DLNA Browser, BubbleUPnP
Player Apps: Stock Player, MX Player, DICE Player, BS Player..

Sry, forgot to mention that video format used to play > AVI, MP4, MKV.
As for the external subtitles, neither SRT nor ASS working...

the only way I got to play a film with subtitles on the device android was selecting the folder transcode and choose Mencoder to transcode the movie. It seems that the UMS that identifes that your device understand the movie without transcode then he send the film with No Enconding option.
