pretranscoding

Post by graziano »

Hello

I understood that UMS transcode video file WHILE it's streaming the video towards the DLNA TV (i.e. TV)

Is it possible to pre-transcode all the video file locally , and the use the already transcoded file to show it in DNLA TV ?
Is it possible ? If yes how please ?

Try Avidemux http://avidemux.berlios.de/, easy to use, lots of tutorials around.

If you have to Pre-Transcode all the time -- you should consider converting all your media into something that your renderers can accept as Streamed media.
