More help with Channels plugin
Posted: Thu Jul 26, 2012 5:02 pm
Hello! Wonderful software you guys have made. I love the concept.
I am generally able to get local video files to work. I switched over from the main build of PMS (what an unfortunately chosen acronym) due to the fact that MKV files would quit and result in an error code about 10 minutes in. I saw advice to switch to this fork from those forums.
I haven't attempted to test another mkv file recently, however I can definitely get local avi files working.
Having recently discovered your channels plugin, I have been trying to get it working from a 64bit Windows 7 source to a xbox 360 sink. Installed UMS, tried everything in the other thread on this forum and then the UMS server stopped showing up (I believe that was my fault, although I am unsure exactly what caused it).
I switched to PMS-SHB and noticed a typo preventing the channels list from being read - in the .conf file the channels directory should install as channels.path = (drive):\\(installfolder)\\extras\\channels not (installfolder)\\channels.
After I changed that, I exited and reloaded - the channel files parsed appropriately. Now, however, I can explore all of the channels, but not play any files. I navigated to naviX/sample playlist/debugging and testing playlist - and attempted to play files found there however received the all too familiar code "Can't play this content because it may not be supported. ... Status code: 69-C00D36C4" .
Any hints?
