Streaming to XBox 360 vs PS3

Wanted to cover a few quick things here for the sake of completeness.
First of all, UMS rocks! I love this program so much and I appreciate and thank all who work on it and provide support on the forums. This site and the software has really added to our quality of life. Thank you!
My issue: I have really great success with my setup streaming HD720 video (MKV format) to my PS3. However, the same file when streamed to my XBox 360 plays beautifully for about 90 seconds and then just freezes and / start and stops. We kind of just live with it being this way, but it would be nice to have both devices handle 720 files. Both devices handle lower resolutions just fine.
Background: I have been streaming from an old PC for years and have used several devices and software (IO Data AVel LinkPlayer 2, TVersity, Hacked Apple TV 1 with Boxee Box, the Boxee Box device itself, PS3 Media Server and others). It wasn't until UMS came out that I could stream HD video. I have an older, component only input 65 inch HDTV otherwise I would have just connected a PC to the set and be done with streaming. The PC I am using to stream is a 9 year old Compaq AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3400+ 2.41 GHz with 2.00 GB of Memory. It's running 32bit Windows 7 Professional SP1 on a wired network to the streaming devices.
Does anyone have a similar situation with this type of hardware setup? Any successful work arounds for the XBox 360?
Thanks in advance.
