Streaming video to Internet clients?

Can UMS provide a streaming service to clients via the Internet?

I'd like to stream (using real-time transcoding) to my Android and PC clients (browser, XBMC, whatever)

I installed UMS and made sure to bind it to the proper NIC but cannot find a way to connect to the server other than using UPnP/DLNA (which does not work over the Internet, of course)

Thx for the help

Nope. SHB (http://code.google.com/p/sharkhunter-shb/) have some thing that is similar to this function. You need a special client to fix the "login". Have a look...

I need web based streaming so I just uninstalled it. UMS and PS3MS looks nice but missing essential functionality (web clients) for me. I installed Plex and a user there has a nice web client built-up and easy to instal/run. I'm also going to try out Emit which is supposed to have it built-in.

Oh well... maybe when UMS adds it I'll try it again. Until then, bonjour.

What needs to be done to get PMS2GO to work with the SHB build. What is meant by "You need a special client to fix the "login""?
