[Solved] external subs

Hi
My first post here.
Was using ps3mediaserver with ps3 only but have shifted to UMS 10 months back and using both ps3 and oppo bdp93. With ps3 its not a problem but with oppo somehow I cant configure how to detect the external english SRT when I am streaming. It works in the oppo if I am using a HDD. I want english srt everytime even if the audio language is English. With embedded english srt its fine. AND also a mkv with multiple srts I cant configure to get the english srt. What I really like is to have english external srt by dedault, I should say, and that also without transcoding. Because in the transcoding section I cant seek forwards or backwards. So may I know what my settings should be?
Thanx

Does the BDP93 support external subs over DLNA?

Thanx.
OK, I agree that BDP 93 doesn't support external srt over DLNA but I also thought it depends on DLNA server's capability ?
If I go through the "TRANSCODE" section and using avisynth I get the external srt but I cant seek forward or backward ? Can it be possible?
Regards. :D

Hopefully the subtitles will play by default with this version: http://www.spirton.com/uploads/UMS/UMS-f3eae7e.exe
Unfortunately the seeking still might not work, I think it is a known issue with how we deal with the OPPO players

Thanx again.
Indeed it works by default but one difference from the official version is that the MKVs are detected as MPEGs not as AVC movie. I think its meant to be detected as MPEG just as the PS3 does. Is it or is there something else?
And I feel the MKV /AVC sounds normal because with the MPEG I need to increase the volume. :D

They're detected as MPEG because in order to include your subtitles we need to transcode the video to MPEG-2 :) We can't send the subtitles to your device directly because the device doesn't support that

Is the only way to get external subtitles to work by playing video through the Transcode folder?

I am using the current version of UMS and a Samsung SmartTV. If it would help, I can upload debug info.

They should work without the transcode folder, does your TV support external subtitles?
