Samsung TV Loading...

While I am in the process of moving to a new house I installed my laptop at a friends who has a Samsung smart TV.
The movies I have tried start and play great for a while but then the TV says loading and the movie pauses for a bit.
The movies are 720p with DTS sound.
Is this an issue with the wireless connection or do i need to look at upgrading the laptop to a beefier one?
My normal set up is to a wired PS3 which I have no issues. The smart TV and wireless connection to it is all new to me.
