Crash After 10 Minutes
Posted: Thu Sep 18, 2014 12:39 pm

I was using PS3 Media Server for the longest time and it started crashing on me after 10 minutes, pretty much on all .MKVs. I switched to UMS and experience the same problem, except UMS doesn't crash, I can see the debug log. It simply stops playing to my PS3. What could explain this? Any insight would be very much appreciated. Thank-you!

Version 8 of Java? According to the Oracle website only 7 is available. Or are you referring to something else?

Try the jdk
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/ ... 33151.html
It's version 8 and then try the Java 8 version of UMS

Before the Java 8 version, the server finally stopped crashing all the time, don't know what that was about. But still a lot of performance problems; freezing, stuttering here and there.
I installed 4.0.1 with Java 8 last night and am now watching a 20 GB .MKV as we speak. For the last hour or so it hasn't hiccuped a single time! I think this may be a good release, I'll keep you posted! Thanks for your help!
