Subtitles causes audio to go out of sync

Hi,
I've seen this problem around the pms/ums forums that when you enable subtitles the audio slowly falls out of sync. It's the worst with mkv files. Anyone know or has fixed this?

It happens with some rare files but mostly not anymore. We make improvements to this very often

The same bug is still present in version 6.5.3
