Please post guide to install channels plugin

Can someone please post a good guide to install the channels plugin so i can view icefilms.
So far i installed unviersal media server and placed the icefilms.ch and movie2k.ch files in /universalmediaserver/extras/channels, and the channels path on universal media server is set to the same location, but when i open the channels folder on my tv on universal media server it says "there are no items to display".
Can someone help me here?
