Video Files Engines and mp4's....

Hi fellahs,
I have changed configurations of the GUI so much, I forget what the Default actions are and would like to go back. I currently have FFmpeg as the first one. I generally always stream mp4's and usually need to Transcode for no errors to occur. Would rather not Transcode. Should I have MEncoder first?
