It took me almost 8 hours to get correct settings for my TV. Nov it plays all video formats correctly with FullHD resolution.
However that config will basically transcode every file, so I'm not sure it's something we can add to the main program. If you'd like to follow the second link in my signature to provide me the info I need, I can make you a config that allows you to watch many files without transcoding
