Picture Pixlation on some video files

Hi all,
I've been running into a rather annoying problem and will try and explain as best I can below.
When playing a video file to my TV (Panasonic) occasionally the picture pixelates and the entire file is unwatchable, the problem is not defined by the type of file as I have had it with Avi, MKV etc.
This problem only occurs every now and then for example I have been watching a TV series that has 10 episodes, the video files are the same for each episode and yet ep 7, and 10 wont play without pixelating. When I use my iPhone or iPad (Airplay) the file doesn't pixelate so I am assuming it has something to do with my transcoding settings.
Any help is appreciated.
