Hi

My Sony BRAVIA KDL-40NX723 is not seeing the UMS server, however UMS has detected the TV, I have restarted the router TV and laptop to see if that will work but to no avail. Anyone got any ideas to what I can do for the it work?

Hi Neil,

On your Bravia TV try the following:
1) Navigate to Settings -> Network Settings
2) Navigate to Server Display Settings
3) Press the Options button on your remote
4) and select "Update List"

This will update the list of media servers that are available to your Bravia TV, and hopefully you'll then be able to see UMS.

Thanks for your reply, I have tried that a good number of times and also left the PC and TV on for over 24 hours in the hope that it will find UMS but to no avail

Is this something new? I am having the same issue with my Samsung TVs (3 of them) and I just pretty much the same issue.

It's a long shot, but have you also tried first deleting all connections and then "Update list" in your Bravia's network settings? This fixed the same issue on my Sony Bluray a few weeks ago (when just 'update' by itself had no effect).

I had tried that but had no joy

Hi the TV is still not seeing UMS, have restarted TV router and laptop. Thanks for your help

Please make logs using this version of UMS, it is a build made specifically for debugging this issue: http://www.spirton.com/uploads/UMS/UMS-764ce59.exe
