Is there a reason UMS does not just transcode anything unsupported by the HTML 5 player instead of forcing you to switch to the flash player? I hate Flash and so should you 
As a side note why are you using http headers for renderer identification instead of the UPNP info? Wouldn;t the UPNP info be more detailed?
