Samsung not finding UMS

I am trying to run UMS on linux mint 17.1 with a Samsung LN60C630 as renderer. The installation seemed to go okay, and I installed the config file for the Samsung. The UMS software shows the Samsung as a renderer in its main screen. DLNA ports are open on firewall.

However, the Samsung does not seem to recognize the UMS as a source. The only DLNA source it shows is my ReadyNAS NV+. I'm not finding any option in the Samsung to change the DLNA source.

Any advice?
Thanks
Eric

To clarify, UMS recognizes my Samsung TV, but the TV doesn't recognize UMS. Is there some setting in UMS I need to change?

Thanks
Eric

Hi,

You can try to delete the line beginning by "uuid=..." in the UMS.conf.

Hi mn1247, this is a known bug that none of the developers have been able to reproduce so we are scratching our heads. Which version of JRE are you using? If 8, can you try rolling back to 7? Some users have reported success with that

Hi, Is there any update on this issue? I am still unable to connect my Samsung UH8500 to UMS 6.4. I really wish there was a solution.
