UMS 5.1.1 - Not connecting

Hi everyone,

I just installed UMS 5.1.1 to use with my HTC One M8 and my Sharp LC-32LE630E television.

With the TV, it'll say in the status screen that it's connected, however on my TV screen itself it says that it's still searching for a media server and that it can't find one. On my phone, I've installed both BubbleUPnP and Airwire, and yet again UMS says they're connected, but once inside those apps they don't actually detect UMS or any of my shared folders inside UMS.

I didn't see anything weird in the logs myself, so I'm honestly at a loss of why it's not working. I tried resetting the TV software, re-installing UMS and reinstalling both Android apps seperately, changing the port on UMS, but nothing seems to make them sync.

Anyone?

Hello,

I Had this problem. The UMS was using the VMware card.
I disabled all cards but the Ethernet and all started working.

Sounds like a network error or firewall issue yes, but this post is quite old now so the OP has probably moved on.
