Hello everyone,

Since I updated UMS to 2.0.0 version I am facing the issue below every time I start the application. Tried reinstalling 1.6.0 and now facing the same issue also on that version.

Anybody knows how to fix the "java.io.IOException: Host is down" error?

Hi, well the fact that it's happening with a version it wasn't happening with before suggests it's something outside of UMS causing the problem.
I recommend trying to uninstall and install JRE again, and if that doesn't work look at any firewalls/antivirus programs to create an exception for UMS.

Checked fiewall, made exception with Little Snitch. Still same error. Reinstalled JRE. Still same issue. Tried with PMS version and there it´s working fine. Would like to know why UMS 2.0 is causing this issue if possible.

It's a strange one!
Maybe try uninstalling UMS, deleting the installation directory, then installing again.

Already did actually and many times. Deleted app install and also config file in hidden folder: /Users/paperboy/Library/Application Support/UMS/UMS.conf still getting the same error. What is weird is that even if I reinstall old version which was working fine previously I do get the same error too now. Even weirder is that the init on PMS version is basically the same apart from the generated UUID which then connects to the available renderers.

In the end I guess I can stick to PMS but it's too bad cause the UMS 2.0.0 looks great and the improvements are awesome. Too bad I can't use it for now.

Well I'm not giving up just yet

I've made some edits to the code so it will give me more debug info and stop crashing at that point, so now I just have to wait for the code to be compiled for OS X because I can't do it myself. I'm requesting glebb, the guy who does our official OS X builds, to help me with this and then I'll post back with a download link
