Hi, I was wondering if there is a method to programmatically access the functionality of UMS? I have a project that requires on the fly/on demand serving of user uploaded videos to user devices. This requires read support of a wide variety of input formats (users can upload any format of video) and the ability to transcode in real time to a suitable format depending on the device/player/connection speed. It seems, at least superficially, that UMS does this? So instead of reinventing things, I was wondering if UMS could do the job. Any comments on this would be greatly appreciated. M.

Hi mine, I don't think it is possible but the UMS code is open source so feel free to grab some of the code
