Closing Nero Burning ROM 2015 Forcecloses UMS
I finally figured out why family members frequently complain the server is not showing up on the PS3 or other devices. Every time I use Nero Burning ROM 2015 and close it when I am done, the UMS closes all by itself. I checked and the server is not referencing the DVD drive for media in Shared Folders, so I'm not sure what causes it. I can have Nero open and burn several DVDs/Blurays without issue. The second I close Nero, UMS disappears from the System Tray in Win8.1 Pro Update 1. I can't produce a trace log, because UMS closes itself when I attempt to reproduce the bug.
Perhaps, it is unique to my installation. It seems unlikely that nobody else is using the USM/Nero combo like myself.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

*** Update 08/05/15 - Same result after system was upgraded to Windows 10. The minute I close Nero, UMS closes automatically.
