I've got UMS up and running in Jessie but I am running into issues with videos that need transcoding.

I tried to install mencoder but it is not available in the jessie repos. Also, while digging around I found some posts that lead me to believe that mencoder may never have a package for jessie (or future releases of debian?) https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo ... bug=741310

What else can I try\use to get the transcoding working in UMS?

I was able to get this transcoding to work by simply unchecking the remux video option under FFMPEG.

I tried probably a dozen videos and only one would not play, everything else is working good.
