64-Bit Windows Question

Is running UMS under 64-Bit Java recommended? I've been doing this via a batch file for PMS for the last year or so, and haven't' had any problems. I just switched to UMS from PMS, and I was wondering if there is a difference in whether it runs better under 32-bit or 64-bit.
