SOLVED 2.2.1 problems continue with 2.2.2
Hi
The issue was fixed with the updated FFMpeg release in 2.3.0 !!
Hopefully 2.3.0 has fixed other problems raised in this forum.
Many thanks for the update !!!
2.2.1 fixed a lot of issues I was having with 2.2.0
But all is still not up to the 2.1.2 standard; here is a summary of my 2.2.1 findings so far
(headless WHS v1, LAV codecs, PS3 renderer) ..
1. .mt2s, .mkv, .m4v files
using the default FFMPEG I get error 800288E1
MEncoder/dts gives a 'data type' error
FFMPEG/DTS, AVISynth/FFMPEG, AVISynth/MEncoder, TSMuxer/dts all OK
2. .avi, .mp4 play OK

Re: 2.2.1 problems
Also having problems with 2.2.1
When playing certain multi-file non-compressed RAR .mkv, getting errors: An HTTP error (500) has occurred or 800288E1.
Switching back to 2.2.0 or extracting the files from the RAR resolves the problem.
If I take the same previously extracted file and then re-split, I again receive the same errors.
On a separate note, noticed that the #Transcode folder is only listing MEncoder for these sames split files. When extracted all available engines are seen. This happens on both 2.2.0 and 2.21.
Confirmed problem was not related to new version of Mencoder, as I was able to move it to 2.2.0 without problems.

Re: 2.2.1 problems
Please post debug logs from 2.2.2 if the issues still exist
2.2.2 problems
Hi
Happy New year.
The same problems as above still exist with 2.2.2.
If I go back to 1.6.9 all is OK.
I have attached my latest log file ...

Re: 2.2.2 problems
Do you mean 1.6.0?Triplefun wrote:The same problems as above still exist with 2.2.2.
If I go back to 1.6.9 all is OK.
Does that mean the problems exist with the next version after that which is 2.0.0? It's important to know exactly when they started happening
Re: 2.2.1 problems continue with 2.2.2
My problems started with the release of 2.0.0 with I believe the support of DTS pass through.
1.6.0 was excellent in most respects.

Re: 2.2.1 problems continue with 2.2.2
I still get the same issues with 2.2.4.
Note FFMPEG/Audio: DTS works but I can't select this as a transcode option.

Problem still exists with 2.2.5
Re: 2.2.1 problems continue with 2.2.2
Can you post a new debug log with 2.2.5?
Re: 2.2.1 problems continue with 2.2.2
Thanks for the response. I have attached a new log file for 2.2.5.
Playing yyy.mt2s (txMuxerGui generated file) on the PS3 using the default FFMPEG transcode option fails with PS3 error 800288E1.
If I repeat the selection using the Transcode folder with FFMPEG/DTS or TSMuxer as the selected renderer then it plays OK.
Using MEncoder/DTS as the selected renderer gives "data not supported".
The same also happens with .MKV files.
note the reference in the log file to random files 'xxx.m2ts' and 'zzz.m2ts' which I never accessed.
Note also, if I run with 1.6.0 then FFMPEG transcode default plays OK.
