server 2008 setup (what i did)

love UMS even though im running archaic hardware, but i have a file server, and i installed server 2008 on it, and i had a lot of setup i had to do to get this to work properly. if some of this could be automated, it would help alot.
so, i had to go into the firewall, and allow UMS.exe and JAVAW.exe through. after that, i had to create a rule for the port, 5001 for TDP, and a seperate rule for UDP (same port). the last step was to go into services and enable SSDPSRV (set to automatic, and then start it). after that, everything worked.
however, in UMS under general config, with the network card not being forced, and no ip address forced, if i was to force a different port, the port field seems to reset to blank if the program is restarted. if something else locks that port, i now have to go manualy reset the firewall rule for a different port as well.
i had to go to 4-5 forums to see all this info, and i hope this helps anyone that had some issues like i did.
