Xbox 360, and Mencoder chapters

Hi,
I'm trying to use mencoder chapters on my xbox 360 for a couple of .mkv files, but the video never loads. I'm using chapters because I'm not able to fast forward or rewind .mkvs on the xbox, and I have another thread open regarding that. It works fine when I don't try and use chapter support. But loading a chapter file just shows a blank screen.
Please let me know if additional information would be helpful.
