Error in video file size

Post by PasMaster01 »

Hello,

I'm a little French guy !
Thank you very much for your program. I use it since version 1.2.1 and it changes life :)

But version 5.1.0 which worked perfectly, I have a little problem with the detection of files within the program.
This problem is the same with all output versions 5.1.0 (so I always use the version 5.1.0).
But I want to explain the problem to try to understand and help others.

I joined the debug file and two screenshots which show my worries. Several other files are problematic but on screenshots we can see an incorrect file size while the other files are well detected. But with version 5.1.0 I do not have that file size problem (976.56 KB).

I hope I was understood !

Thant you

Regards,

Alex.

I don't know about the other guys, but I do not understand.

Did this work correctly in 5.1.0? What version did you test where it didn't work correctly? Did you test 5.1.1, and if so did it work there? What is the real format of the file that won't play? Is the problem the same for any file of this format?

Hello, thank you for your response. Sorry for not being understood ! :D

It's work perfectly in 5.1.0. But does not work with any other versions (5.1.1, 5.2.0 etc ...).
I tested all versions and still the same problem.

The real format is .mkv but only some files are not working. Other .mkv files work perfectly .... i have a Samsung SmartTV (H6400).

I noticed that the files that do not work have this information with MediaInfo:
AVC ([email protected]) (CABAC / 4 Ref Frames)
... for others files who work, it is noted :
AVC ([email protected]) (CABAC / 5 Ref Frames)

Ah, thank you, that could be valuable information. I'm not an expert on video formats, but I'll notify those who are.

I have created an issue here: https://github.com/UniversalMediaServer ... issues/720

Hi PasMaster01, welcome to the forum :)
To help you we need two debug logs in TRACE mode. One for 5.3.0 and one for 5.1.0. Please follow the instructions at viewtopic.php?f=9&t=556
