I haven't seen him post replies as of late in either forum regarding the Channels plugin (on PMS and UMS forums). Did he just give up on development of his plugins for UMS? Or is he just really busy with something else right now?

Yeah he's still around but he started a hard course so he doesn't have much time for development until he gets on top of that. He will be back to development when he has more time

Yeah, I saw he's posted in the channels topic again. Hopefully he'll have more time to work on his channels plugin again soon and update it.
