FFmpeg Web Video on PS3

Post by Supermanfan77 »

Hello devs. What I'm about to post has been discussed at length with Infidel under his Jumpy plugin forum page and it was suggested I post here as my issue is likely a render problem.

I use Jumpy to watch videos from certain websites. One website in particular has an audio/video issue which I have self diagnosed myself off and on over the last couple of years. What happens is the video will play at normal speed but the audio plays at hyperspeed, as in superfast chipmunks. Because of the audio playing like that the video freezes after a few seconds and never recovers. For the hell of it one day I decided to record a short test video from the website using VLC, I then used MediaInfo (see UMS text file)
UMS.txt

to read the video file and it tells me the audio is in an aac format at 16khz using 1 channel. My guess is that the PS3 translates that wrong and plays the audio superfast. I then tested that video I recorded on my ps3 using UMS and it plays it the same way as it does streaming from the website. My next plan was to convert the audio using a favorite video editor changing it to 48khz 2 channel. The result was the audio and video playing normally and that is how I have come to the conclusion that the PS3 doesn't like either the 1 channel mono or the 16khz. It is worth noting the audio/video from the website plays normally using Kodi (kodi debug log attached to ums_dbg.zip).

So I guess my question is, is there a way to fix this where it will play normally on my PS3?
