Error Adding Child

Hello, I have been using PMS for several years and now I am trying to move to UMS.

I am experiencing the following error message when scanning a directory with .ts files created from OTA recordings. This happens for each .ts file in the directory.

18:36:39 ERROR Error adding child: "Great Performances-(Magical Mystery Tour Revisited)-2015-12-08-0[remux].ts"
java.lang.Error: Invalid memory access

The folder then returns "no files found".

I found another post about this however they said it went away after an upgrade. I tried the latest build and the latest beta with the same results on two separate systems. Both are running Windows 10 and I have tried running as admin using Java 7.x and 8.x with the same results.

Thank you,
/Derek

I don't know the scan routines in detail, but it is my impression that they haven't really gotten much attention and has some flaws. I've also gotten multiple errors when trying to scan larger folders. I have it on my "to do list" to look at it in the future.

The general consensus seem to be that "there is no need to scan, UMS will populate as you browse from the renderer". While that is true, it only makes sense if you browse by the folder structure, not using the "media library" tree, so I don't quite agree with that. In any case, that's all I know about the issue and the reason I write this without having any "real" information is that I suspect that you won't get any other answers about this.

What you should do, is follow the text in read above and then start a scan while "capturing" trace logs. That will give us more information about what is failing.
