Audio choppy

This may or may not be a UMS problem but wanted to post here to see if someone had similar problem or suggestions for solution. I have attached the zip trace log. The issue I am having is choppy playback of audio and audio out of sync with actor mouths but only when played through my receiver. Additionally, everyone sounds like Mickey Mouse. I have an optical audio cable coming from Bravia tv to receiver. TV shows and DVDs don't have this audio issue. The video source for this trace log is a DVD converted to MP4 and stored on PC. I made copies of the original DVD's and can re-rip the DVD if someone thinks I used the wrong audio settings to cause this error. I know that DVD Fab would not retain the DTS track. I used DVD Fab to copy the DVD then Any Video Converter Ultimate to create the MP4 video file. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I suspect that you have used a non-standard sample frequency and or channels when encoding the audio. What did you use?

Update, the issue appears to be happening to all video regardless of origin. Whether downloaded, transferred from camcorder etc. Audio plays just fine through the TV speakers. Can you break a fiber optic cable? I know it's glass. Would that cause this? Don't have a spare to swap out for test. Help. Thanks!

I have no idea what the issue is, and yes: You can break a fiber optic cable. They should never be bent sharply. That said, I don't know if a broken cable would produce such results. I'd think that a broken cable wouldn't produce anything at all, but I guess anything is possible.

Duh, to my own point, DVD and TV audio plays fine through same optic cable. This is a UMS issue or my PC/Internet? I uninstalled then reinstalled UMS and it worked good for a while. Does that provide any help?

It's still very hard to understand how UMS can be to blame if the sound is fine on the TV speakers but not on your receiver. Sounds very strange to me.
