UMS locking up... solved!

I have been using UMS (previously PMS) for a few years now. I don't use it often but it works well when I need it. For the past 6 months or so I found it would run fine when I started but then after a few hours it would lock up. I would have to kill the Java executable and restart if I wanted to use it. I recently started to use a whitelist for the IP's I wanted to have access to UMS. I saw some odd entries in the log about my LG 55EC9300 seeming to be doing something with UMS even when the TV was off. I deleted the LG from my whitelist and now UMS is running smoothly with no lock ups. Not sure what the issue was but since I was not streaming to the TV it was not a problem to omit the IP. Just posting this in case anyone else is having a similar issue.
