WiiU via streaming web interface

I'm trying to get the WiiU to stream media from the web interface. Some videos (mp4 mostly) seem to play fine, but the Nintendo web browser seems to have a very limited set of supported video formats. Most videos (probably 90% of my collection) do not play. Just FYI every browser I've tested OTHER than the WiiU one seems to work without issue, so the web interface seems to not be the problem.

I'm trying to figure out if the web interface uses some specific renderer.conf file, or if it identifies the different browsers / devices and uses the appropriate renderer.conf from the renderers directory. If I'm seeing things properly it seems to default to the Samsung-CD.conf file, although why that is I have no idea. I have no specific unknown renderer, it is supposed to be using the default for that.

I'm positive that if I set up the appropriate settings so media is being transcoded properly that everything will play, but nothing I've tried so far seems to work. I have a wiiu renderer file set up using the id strings that the debug logs provide, but UMS only seems to see the device as "Web Client". I'd be happy if I can get the defaults set up in such a way that all the web clients are transcoding, but I'm also interested in seeing if this device could be added properly so I can provide the working configuration.

I'd appreciate any feedback I can get, thanks.
