UMS for Java 8 ?

Hello,

I have an installed 64bit Java jdk1.8.0_73 on my PC and I try to run the newest version of UMS-6.0.0-Java7.exe. When starting, it comes up with the message "UMS uses Java Runtime Environment 7.0+ , it will now be downloaded and installed." But the installation failes with an error 1603. Sometimes UMS starts anyway, but this seems not to be the right way.

Is there a version of UMS, working with my current installed JDK, or a real Java 8 version?

Greetings from Germany!

The Java 7 version should work just fine with Java 8, but it will attempt to download and install Java 7 under some circumstances (I'm not quite sure what the criteria is). You can download a Java 8 version by using the little "arrow" on the font page.

One more question please...

Is this current version of UMS compatible with Java JDK/JRE 64bit? Or is there / will be a 64bit version?

Thank you for your patience...

Regards,
T.
