Strange issue with video streaming

Hello,
I watch a lot of movies that I stream to my PS3.
When I watch DivX files they play smooth nog problems. When I play .mpg files (mpeg2 files) they play sometimes randomly they freeze for 1 or 2 seconds and continue playing.
I can't find anything in the logs it happens 1 or sometimes 2 times during the view of a whole movie. It only happens on these files.
The mpg files have not high-resolution so 640x480 max and stereo sound. De DivX I watch can be 720p with DTS or 5.1 with no issues. The bandwith usage seems to be not the problem, also streaming DVD .iso no problems also with 5.1 audio and external subs.
I was thinking the problem was maybe something in the mpg file but it's random when it freezes.
I have this issue with 2.4.0, 2.4.1,2.4.2 can't tell if I had it before because I watch most DivX files, just lately I got a bunch of .mpg files.
