"no inputstream to return" and mencoder started twice
Posted: Thu Mar 28, 2013 4:09 pm
Hi all,
I'm stuck and need help.
Not sure why this started to happen. Maybe it was that I upgraded PMS (then unisntalled and moved to UMS) or maybe it was some Windows Update or it may even be the PS3 firmware update.
Everything was working fine before and now it fails every time.
I won't list all the things I've tried because this post would never end.
But this is what I did recently on my Windows 7 machine:
- uninstalled and deleted all traces of PMS and UMS
- uninstalled all Java stuff
- installed latest java
- installed latest UMS
- deleted all *.cache-3 files I found
- started UMS
and I still have the same issue...
UMS starts mencoder but then it reports a "no inputstream to return" error and apparently tries to start mencoder again and also fails with the same error.
That leaves me with a 800288E1 error on the PS3 and two mencoder.exe processes that are actually running and eating CPU.
Here is the a piece of the log (full logs attached) done with a file that I know it used to work in the past
As you can see, Thread-97 and Thread-99 are both mencoder processes that are actually doing stuff.
I'm lost. I've tried many versions of PMS and UMS and searched the forums and I still can't find the fix for this.
Help!
Thanks!
