UMS won't launch after update.

I've had this happen multiple times now. I'm on Windows 7 x64 home on this machine. UMS work fine for weeks at a time and then I get a notice about an update being available. I relaunch as Admin and perform the update. At this point UMS will not launch. I examined the log file and found out it was having issues with the AppData/Local/Temp/UMS folder. I have to manually delete this UMS folder and then the program will start fine. It only happens directly after an update. Once I delete that folder and launch UMS successfully, it continues to launch fine thereafter until I get another update. I do not have this issue at all on my Win10 rig. This started a couple month ago. Not sure what version the issue started with. Any idea what is causing this?
