Hey Guys,

I got a Samsung Ju 6050 for about 5 Months. This is my first SmartTV and I mostly watch Netflix or Animes. I tryed out to Stream them via UMS and it works fine. Only videos without Transcode are working and the Subtitle styles are not shown on the TV. On VLC the Subtitles are Styled with colors and Borders. But when I stream the Subtitles, they are only white.

I'm running UMS on Ubuntu, but on Windows i got the same problems.

I hope someone can help me

When subtitles are streamed it is renderers responsibility to change the size or color of them if possible. I have the same issue on my Panasonic TV when streamed subtitles are white and I can't change subtitles color or size. For that case there is a TRANSCODE folder and you can choose to transcode the media with the color and size set at the Subtitle setting page.

ok i will try this out, thanks I know the TRANSCODE folder, but only the Not transcoded stream is working, idk why. At any other Output the TV says"Network Loading" or something like this.

Transcoding does not work for j series :/

Wow, thats sad :c. Is it possible to get Transcoding work? Or is it Possible, to get transcoding work on PS4? I have a ps4 and can use it for streaming to, never tested and i don't know how it works, but i saw a PS4 ums config in the cfg folder :3

I got the Transcode working!. But Subtitle,Sound and Video aren't Synhron. But it displays Styled SSA Subtitle with the original Outlines!.

I edited the Samsung J Series config a bit.

TranscodeVideo = MPEGTS-H265-AAC
MaxVideoBitrateMbps = 80

These are the two lines, I edited. I will test out some more to get it working.

My Source file is an Full HD mkv with SSA subtitles.

The transcode works only with FFmpeg in the transcode folder (Audio AAC/Subtitles:SSA)

Okey, I got the video on TV with FFmpe, Tsmuxr and VLC. But its always the same its not syncrhon. At the beginning the vid is hanging up for 3 secs an restart -> then audio and video goes asynchron ^^
