more problems with windows 10

i love ums and it worked swimmingly playing to my sony bravia tv before i upgraded to windows 10
- i've had it failing to start - i've used installing and running as administrator to get round that
- i've had firewall problems (yes i do need a firewall running) so i ditched windows firewall (which used to be ok) and am now using comodo
- on playing i've had
. sees films but then says it can't see the server when i try to play
. starts playing but only runs for a few miniutes then says it can't see the server when i try to play again
. can't skip back/forwards (which is enabled) as it'll just stop dead after 1 skip usually and then eventually say it can't see the server
. when it says it can't see the server when i go back through the menus it won't play again, just continues to say it can't see the server, but may decide it can see the server some (10+?) minutes later
- when i navigate down my folder tree for music (which is more levels than the videos) nowadayw when i open the album folder it shows no music tracks and says it's empty

i've tried some solutions others have offered for some of these individual symptoms but it's still not there but it seems i'm not the only one having windows-10-itis...has anyone sussed alll these problems or can help me please? I'll try and get a log of the playing tonight.

log files psa, played once, tried skipping, failed quickly with couldn't access server, some minutes later was able to browse music folders, did 2 at 2 different levels, each showed no files even though there are, then played a bit more of the flash, skipped, stopped, played, skipped, then hit cannot access server again. many thanks for any help
