mkv - Not transcoding languages..

Hello everyone.

I've come an issue that I think I'll need the assistance from some people wiser than me..

Running UMS 6.4.0 on a Ubuntu 14.04

The config of UMS is almost as close to basic as possible - I've changed the default language and added a folder for storage.

I have a bunch of .mkv files with audio tracks in english and danish as well as subtitles. As far as I know, the audio should be set do danish as per default, but when watching the movies via UMS on either my PS3 or on an Android device (using Slick UPnP - uses VLC on the device) all I get is the english version - and no subtitles. Using 8player lite on an iPad I get to set subtitles but dont have any sound what so ever.

When playing the files in VLC on windows (files stored locally or via smb) the videos plays the danish audiotrack as default and without any further thoughts...

I'm pretty sure, that its a matter of configuration - it's just what to configure? Transcoding? Renderer ??

Any help would be appreciated :)

Now I've tested on 4 different renderes:

Chrome (On Windows 7)
PS3
SlickUPnP (Andriod)
8playerlite (iPad)

Zipped versions of each debug.log is attached.

I've tested on a mkv with English and Danish audio - the movie played around 2 minutes in all tests.

Similar on all renders is that the only the english audiotrack is available.

I am sorry but you not follow the instruction I asked you to do. We need not only the log but also other files the instructions provide. Please do exactly what the instructions say.

Sorry about that.

I installed UMS using this guide: http://www.htpcguides.com/install-unive ... untu-14-x/ - I don't know if it has something to do with it.

When accessing the webinterface on either IP-ADDRESS:5001/console/index.html or IP-ADDRESS:9001 (/any of the pages located in the web-folder) I dont have access to the Logs tab as described.

I've noticed a setting minimized in the UMS.conf and it is set to "false" but there is no gui launched when UMS is started...

If you could advice me on how to get the right files for you, I would be greatfull.

The guide you linked to does not state what files that are being packed, so I have a hard time figuring out what files I have to dig out from the belly of the beast..

Hello Sami32

Thank you for the screenshot from the GUI..

My biggest challenge is, that I don't have access to the GUI :-/

Running on a Ubuntu 14.04 - UMS 6.4.0

In the configuration file (UMS.conf) the setting "minimized" is set to "false" but I dont get access to the GUI from the desktop or any systemtrays...

UMS is also not listed on any of the of the "Application"-menu or sub-menues (Desktop)

Any ideas on how to get GUI up and running would be very appriciated.
