Hi,

I'm using the latest Version of UMS on WIndows 10 and try to stream my library to Kodi running on OSMC on an Raspberry Pi.

The problem is that I can not fast forward or rewind files that are either AVI or Mp4 files, no mater what codec they are encoded in. The Files run fine however only fast forward or seek is not supported.

MKV files however work flawlessly and I can fast forward and rewind without any problems, even huge files Like 4k MKV's that are close to 30 GB on Harddisk run flawless with seeking supported allowing to nearly instantly jump from beginning to end of the file.

Anyone knows what the problem is?

One thing to watch out for is if the files are getting transcoded. That is one scenario when seek is not available.

I don't specifically select to transcode the files.

Also the receiving app is able to playback all the files without a need for a transcode, when I access the files via a SMB network share for example.
