UMS detects xbox one but on media player it doesn't detect UMS

For some reason I can't actually access the universal media player on my devices, it at least detects my xbox one but when I turn to use it the xbox displays nothing

You can try forcing the default renderer as Xbox one. Btw, does your video player show any files at all? I know of an issue with Xbox 360 not displaying media content.
