Hi,
I have been using UMS for a while with a ps3, then a ps4 with no problems.

Today I picked up Roberts stream 93i and initially there was no renderer.
I created a conf file by clicking on the device icon on the status screen and saved with the suggested file name and based on the DefaultRenderer.conf
I have edited the conf file and have ended up with this [mainly pulled from teh PS4 conf file]:

RendererName=Roberts Stream 93i
UserAgentSearch= FSL DLNADOC/1.50

#Basic capabilities
MediaInfo = true

# Supported audio formats:
Supported = f:mp3   m:audio/mpeg

I have also tried

Code: Select all

StreamExtensions = mp3

And to be honest I don't really have a clue what I am doing, nor do I really understand the comments in the DefaultRenderer.conf file

On the radio I can navigate through my media server directory structure, but no files are showing. I thought the conf file would make the mp3 files show up?
I also cannot transcode anything - it always shows 'no results'

Hi,

just took a look on the PS4 and the mp3s are all giving and error in the log: 'path to file'.mp3 could not be parsed. It will be hidden

I am guessing there is a bit more going on there than just my lack of conf understanding?

I am on UMS 6.4

upgraded to 6.5 and a clean install.
I have the mp3 showing up on the PS4 but not on the Roberts stream 93i
