Problem with estimated network speed

Hello,
I connected with ums, a ps3 and a wd tv live, via a gigabit switch and class 5e cable. The ping from pc to ps3 and wd are 1 ms. I had problems in fast-forward a movie, the process hangs and I have to turn off the wd tv, trying again crashes again. I noticed that in the "traces" the estimated network speed for the ps3 was 256 Mbs, while for the wd tv was 39 Mbs. But I remembered that the estimated speed was different network recently: 512Mbs for the ps3 and 78 Mbs for the wd tv.
So I removed the version 2.6.1, and I installed version 2.5.1. Doing it this way I got the values again 512 Mbs and 78 Mbs. Now fast forward sending the wd tv no more crashes! So I guess that the value estimated network speed is a very important index, then why in the newer versions of this software this problem occurs? I also tried the 2.6.3 and I encountered the same problem. Can be resolved in some way, so that we can benefit from the improvements of the new versions? thanks
