UMS 6.5.1 transcoding to ".ts" extension

Hi,
Today i installed the new UMS 6.5.1 java 8 version & tried to play "smooth motion" enabled video through my android phone.
Unlike the previous UMS version i used, this version transcoded videos appears in ".ts" format & any video player in my phone (vlc,mxplayer) can't play them.
previous UMS showed ".mpg" extension in frame interpolated videos & i could play them through my phone without any issue.
What could be the issue? is it because of the ".ts" extension or anything else?
