I probably started this thread in the wrong section before. Let´s try here.

I managed to follow the faq and get the BD 390 recognised by UMS. The problem is that the BD390 doesn´t support WMV video or AC-3 sound wich rules out all four TranscodeVideo options specified in ps3.conf. What do I do now?

Tried WMV setting the 390 says "can not play this file".

WOW, I never thought someone else would try to get UMS working on a player this old. I did get a config file working for it, but only by force trans-coding everything. I can't even remember what I trans-coded everything to; I gave up over a year ago due to trans-coding quality loss. Can't remember what version that worked, but I have this conf in a folder called working so you could try this.
